Stico, aiming to become an Industry 4.0 company, turn to Metalix
Since 2008, STICO METAL PREST S.R.L. offers its clients a wide range of services and finished products, created with Durma laser cutting machine. Our business card describes our productive and creative activity, performed in the field of metal constructions and confections, by a team that is experienced, serious, and attentive to customer needs.
Offered services include: CAD and CAM assisted design, laser cutting and band sawing, press brake bending, CNC vertical machining center/lathe/threading machine, assembling and welding of metallic structures, finishing and treatments (deburring, blasting, thermal furnace, painting in electrostatic field).
When Stico searched for a CAD/CAM system to support their growing demand for more efficient nesting, and their aim of becoming an Industry 4.0 company, they turned to Metalix. Says Amelia Nicola (General Manager):
We first decided to change our software to Metalix to get better performance in our CAM department.
Only after we started using the software did we realize its power and ability to help improve our complete sheet metal fabrication process.
We have also implemented the estimation module to get faster, more accurate offers out to our customers, as well as JobTrack that tracks, in real time, our offers, orders, and production status.
JobTrack allows us to control what enters production and traces every part/nest in real time. This is the leap our company needs in our aim to become an Industry 4.0 Factory.
