Reifer Oy and Metalix’s CSV-connection-to-ERP-system

Reifer Oy is serving sectors such as Process, Transportation and Energy with high quality sheet metal parts and assemblies. Reifer has an Amada LC2415 Laser with PR III  Part Picker and Stacking system, as well  Amada PEGA 358 Punch.

Ville Otranen, the owner and production manager says:

“There is a punching machine and a laser cutting machine in our company. Our production is quite hectic. The size of the production series are small but there is a large amount of different parts. Practically all the nests are done only once. Most of the time of programmers went for searching and fixing geometries and files and then building nests of those files.

With previous software there were all the time problems with schedules and orders were late. Before Metalix there were two programmers doing nests as a full time job. The machine operators also made nests during the evening shift.

Working with Metalix with CSV-connection to ERP-system changed the situation radically. Before, there were about 2.5 employees working full time. Now there is only one programmer who works at about 3-4 hours/day. Doing nests is not a bottleneck any more. New programming system that is integrated to ERP-system gives a lot of possibilities to develop production in future.”
